Account deletion overview

ConvertUni gives users direct control over account deletion. If you are able to access your account, you can permanently delete it from your dashboard. This deletion process is intended to remove the account and associated personal data immediately.

Account deletion on ConvertUni is permanent and cannot be reversed once completed.

Your right to data deletion

Under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. ConvertUni supports this right by allowing users to permanently delete their account directly through the platform without requiring a manual request, as long as they have access to their account.

This page explains how deletion works on ConvertUni and what happens to account-linked data after deletion.

How deletion works in your dashboard

If you can sign in to your ConvertUni account, you can delete your account directly from the account settings area. The deletion flow depends on how your account was created.

• Email & password accounts: you must confirm your current password and type DELETE.
• Google accounts: you must type DELETE to confirm.
• Facebook accounts: you must type DELETE to confirm.

Once the deletion action is confirmed, the account is removed immediately.

Verification and confirmation

ConvertUni uses the logged-in account session and the required deletion confirmation steps inside the dashboard to verify that the deletion request is being made by the account holder.

Because deletion is performed directly from the authenticated account area, no separate email confirmation is required for normal dashboard-based deletion.

What is deleted

When account deletion is completed, the account and its associated personal data are permanently removed from ConvertUni.

• Account profile information
• Email/password credentials for local accounts
• Linked Google or Facebook authentication data for social login accounts
• Account-linked conversion history
• Other personal data directly associated with the deleted account

Data retention after deletion

ConvertUni does not retain personal account data after a completed deletion. Once the account deletion process is confirmed and executed, the associated account data is removed from our active systems and is not preserved for continued account use.

Deletion is intended to be immediate and final.

Legal basis for processing before deletion

Before an account is deleted, ConvertUni processes personal data only as necessary to provide account functionality, authentication, and file conversion services. Once account deletion is completed, those account-related processing activities end.

Google and Facebook login users

If your ConvertUni account was created or accessed using Google or Facebook login, deleting your ConvertUni account removes the ConvertUni-side account data associated with that sign-in method.

Deleting your ConvertUni account does not delete your separate Google or Facebook account itself.

If you cannot access your account

If you are unable to sign in and cannot complete deletion from your dashboard, you may contact support@convertuni.co for assistance.

In that case, we may need basic information to identify the account, such as the registered email address, public ID, or sign-in method.
