Terms of Service
The legal terms and conditions governing your use of ConvertUni.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ConvertUni (“ConvertUni”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, as well as any related policies referenced by these Terms, including our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must stop using the service immediately.
2. Description of the Service
ConvertUni provides automated online file conversion tools that allow users to convert supported files between different formats.
ConvertUni functions solely as a technical processing platform. We do not create, own, control, or assume responsibility for user-uploaded content.
3. Access and Accounts
Users may use most parts of ConvertUni without creating an account. Certain features may require authentication.
Where an account is used, the user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for all activity that occurs under the account.
ConvertUni may support email/password accounts and third-party sign-in methods such as Google or Facebook.
4. File Uploads, Processing, and Temporary Storage
Files uploaded to ConvertUni are used only to perform the requested conversion.
File processing is performed on our own infrastructure as part of the normal operation of the service. ConvertUni does not rely on third-party file conversion services for standard processing.
Uploaded files and generated output files are stored only temporarily and are automatically deleted within approximately 1 hour after processing.
5. User Responsibility for Files and Content
You are solely and fully responsible for any file, content, or data you upload, convert, process, or transmit through ConvertUni.
By using the service, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and legal authority to use the files you upload and to request their conversion.
ConvertUni is only a format conversion platform and does not assume responsibility for the legality, ownership, accuracy, integrity, or permitted use of any user file or content.
6. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use ConvertUni to:
- Upload, convert, or process illegal, unlawful, or prohibited content
- Use copyrighted or protected materials without proper rights or authorization
- Upload malware, viruses, harmful code, or abusive files
- Attempt to exploit, abuse, interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service
- Use automation, bots, or technical methods in a manner that harms platform stability or security
7. Copyright, Ownership, and User Content
ConvertUni does not claim ownership of files uploaded by users.
All responsibility for uploaded files, including copyright compliance, licensing, permissions, and legal use, remains entirely with the user who uploads or processes the content.
If we receive a valid complaint, legal notice, or credible report relating to misuse, infringement, unlawful material, or abuse, we reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including restricting access to the service.
8. Platform Rights and Intellectual Property
All software, branding, design elements, logos, visual assets, code, and other platform materials associated with ConvertUni are the property of ConvertUni or its licensors.
You may not reproduce, distribute, copy, reverse engineer, republish, or create derivative works from the platform except as permitted by applicable law.
9. Service Availability and Modifications
ConvertUni is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continuous uptime, perfect conversion results, or error-free operation in all situations.
We reserve the right to modify, improve, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without prior notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConvertUni disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
We do not warrant that conversions will always be accurate, complete, compatible, uninterrupted, or suitable for every intended use case.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConvertUni shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service.
This includes, without limitation, file corruption, conversion issues, incompatibility, interruption of service, loss of business, or loss of data.
12. Suspension or Termination of Access
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to ConvertUni at any time if we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful conduct, created security risks, or abused the service.
We may also take protective measures where necessary to preserve platform integrity, enforce our policies, or comply with legal obligations.
13. Privacy and Data Handling
Your use of ConvertUni is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, process, protect, and delete personal data.
If you create an account, account deletion and related data handling are further described in our data deletion materials.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in the service, platform functionality, legal requirements, or business operations.
Continued use of ConvertUni after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
